American-born pianist Andrew von Oeyen has an ambitious new album that combines works for solo keyboard with piano transcriptions from orchestral, opera and choral repetoire. The album possess a unique duality between the 'angelic' works of Bach, Debussy, Fauré and Messiaen, and 'demonic' works of Liszt, Saint-Saëns and Edward MacDowell.
